My focus in teaching Wing Chun clearly lies on Wing Chun’s roots in healing Qigong systems of the Buddhist and Taoist traditions.

With this focus we practice the first three Wing Chun forms Siu Nim Tau, Chum Kiu and Biu Jee, individual and partner exercises such as Chi Sau as well as specific Qigong exercises.

Every class consists of quiet and dynamic elements. We do meditative exercises to foster tranquility and inner balance, but also dynamic movements that are vitalizing, that increase our physical stamina and also improve our overall body coordination.

Because of my coaching background I particularly pay attention to the inspiration movement principles we experience with our own body offer for the tasks we encounter in daily life.

I have been teaching Wing Chun since 1989. I originally studied Wing Chun with Lo Man Kam in Taiwan from 1985-89.

During my time in mainland China (2006-2013) I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of the healing Chinese movement traditions, particularly the Buddhist and Taoist systems of healing body work in Shanghai and in Beijing.
