Absolutely can not overlook the Kung Fu classic – Stranger From Shaolin.

It has some of the best and longest Wing Chun practice scenes by a female martial artist. Though not perfect, it’s better than a lot of the real practice and training videos on YouTube!

She does the Little Idea form (Sil Lum Tao), 8 Slashing Broadsword (Baat Jam Dao/Butterfly Swords), rattan rings, dummy form, and the tripole.

She also works on her Thrusting Fingers (Bil Gee) with a pressure point dummy. And she even has a sparring session with Ng Mui.

A must see. A classic.

Response 1 Jade, thanks for the heads up. I had no idea this movie has Wing Chun in it. It’s on my list of must see Kung Fu movies… Rob

Response 2A beautiful Kung Fu Movie.

I viewed it dozens of times, during the making of a school play about Wing Chun.

Comment: A school play about Wing Chun? Like an elementary school play, with little children?

I’ve only seen two Wing Chun movies

I’ve seen most of Bruce Lee movies but was nothing compared to the master himself IP MAN 1 & 2.

I never knew it was a trilogy movie until today. Such movies a very difficult to find here in PNG but will keep seeking until I find it and the other four movies I’m looking forward to watching. It’s amazing how Wing Chun has existed till now, can’t wait to start learning Wing Chun!

Yes I’ve seen prodigal son, warriors two and ip man…i m die hard fan of wing chun

THis is also a fact of confusion for me the name of the movie warriors two, may be becoz there two awsome warriors depicted in the movie. I am looking for some more great wing chun movies. I hope the art never loose its place from film industry. It’s lethal yet beautiful.

Descendants of Wing Chun

Hi,

Descendants of Wing Chun is my favorite movie. It is said that GM William Cheung was the action choreographer.

Warriors Two is very cruel.

The Prodigal Son is like a training camp seminar.

Sammo Hung of course makes some funny parts. Especialy when he’s teaching a young Yuen Biao Wing Chun and do “toilets crash.” Lam Ching Ying is a Master. i like his lessons.

Ip Man with Donnie Yen is a very good story. I prefer the 1st set.

Wu Xia is also a good movie. It combines police investigation, Chinese medicine, and fighting, all of which I have a huge interest.

I’ve been watching Kung Fu movies for a long time, starting with the Shaw brothers.

I’ll be a life long fan, for ever!

Cheers
